When the Gods Left Bengal: A Myth Retold

Once upon a time, the gods walked the streets of Bengal. They ate fish, argued in tea stalls, fell in love, and sometimes even got drunk on country liquor.

Then one day they left.

Not because they were angry. But because we stopped believing in magic. We started believing only in exams, jobs, and bank balances.

Now the gods are waiting. Not in temples, but in the quiet moments when we remember how to wonder. When a child asks “why is the sky blue?” and we actually pause to think instead of googling it.

They’ll come back the day we stop treating life like a checklist and start treating it like the greatest story ever told.

Are you ready to invite them back?
