Consciousness: The Greatest Mystery Science Can’t Touch

We can split atoms. We can map the human genome. We can even photograph black holes now.

But we still don’t know what it feels like to be you.

Consciousness – that inner light that turns electrical signals into the experience of tasting mango, feeling heartbreak, or wondering about the stars – remains the biggest unsolved puzzle in science.

Some say it’s just brain chemistry. Others believe it’s fundamental to the universe itself, like gravity or light.

I don’t know the answer. But I love that we don’t. It keeps us humble. It reminds us that being alive is stranger and more precious than any equation can capture.

Maybe the real question isn’t “what is consciousness?” Maybe it’s “why does it feel so damn good to be aware right now?”
