While others negotiated, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose chose to fight. He left everything – comfort, safety, even his own people’s approval – to raise an army against the British.
“Give me blood, and I will give you freedom.” Those words still echo.
What fascinates me most is not just his courage, but his refusal to accept the ordinary path. He could have lived a quiet life as a civil servant. Instead, he chose the impossible.
In today’s world of safe choices and comfortable compromises, Bose feels almost unreal. But maybe that’s exactly why we need him now more than ever.
Some people are born to remind us that freedom has a price – and that price is sometimes everything.
